Spikes Update

In a joint decision, Brandon Spikes & Urban Meyer jointly decided to up the suspension to a full game against Vandy, rather than a helf, to avoid distractions to the team. Washaun Ealey, the Georgia back who was the victim of the eye gouge attempt, says he's fine and added "I don't think he should have gotten suspended at all". Not that the Gators will really miss him being a 25 point favorite. Go Gators.

Watch the hit on Tebow after he hands it off. Nowhere near the action and he gets blind-sided.

Tony Dungy On Tebow

Interesting...

Dungy also had interesting comments on Tim Tebow. Dungy loves winners. He thinks Charlie Ward would have been a great NFL quarterback because he won at every level. Dungy said that Tebow is like that. He just wins, and that will translate to the NFL.

Dungy said if he ran St. Louis, he'd draft Tebow high in the first round. "Franchise quarterbacks are hard to fine (sic), and I believe in this guy," Dungy said.

Dan asked Dungy if Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy, Jake Locker and Jimmy Clausen were available, would he take Tebow over all of them. Dungy said yes, he'd take Tebow.

Kinda sad to see this...

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida coach Urban Meyer has suspended Brandon Spikes for the first half of Saturday's game against Vanderbilt after the All-America linebacker attempted to gouge the eyes of Georgia running back Washaun Ealey in a 41-17 victory.

Spikes was retaliating after getting his eye poked earlier in the game, Meyer said Monday. The Southeastern Conference said it will look at replays of the incident later in the day.

Gators Neuter The Dawgs

Black pants, black helmets and another team-wide celebration.

No matter what Georgia does to change its luck against Florida, the result usually stays the same. The Gators own this series.

Tim Tebow accounted for four touchdowns, A.J. Jones had two huge interceptions and top-ranked Florida beat the Bulldogs 41-17 Saturday for its 17th win in the last 20 meetings between the Southeastern Conference rivals.
